This PBS film documents the story of two young boys determined to help Ecuadorian communities plagued by decades of oil drilling and spills. Shot over the span of six years, Oil & Water is an independent documentary produced and directed by Laurel Spellman Smith and Francine Strickwerda of Seattle-based Stir It Up Productions. The film was funded by Independent Television Service (ITVS) and the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation.
