TVision raises $6.8M to take on Nielsen with thermal eye and emotion tracking tech

TVision Insights, an MIT start-up, is raising funds for a new tool that goes beyond traditional TV analytics, using lasers and thermal infra-red to detect exactly who in a household is watching TV and how they are reacting to it (as well as who is just sitting in the room doing something else while the TV is on). This data will provide advertisers and broadcasters with better insights into how to develop engaging programming.
