We invite you to join Media Impact Funders, Philanthropy New York and the Environmental Grantmakers Association for a private screening of a 2017 Sundance award-winning documentary film.
We will engage in a conversation with the director and the director of impact about strategies for shifting awareness, sparking community action, and the importance of simplifying scientific data for the public.
We will explore:
- How funders can best use media to raise awareness about important issues
- The power of documentaries in shifting public debate
- The role independent filmmakers play in fostering greater understanding of how the world’s most pressing issues affect our everyday lives
