Since Congress voted in July to rescind federal funding for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, funders have been pursuing and considering different strategies to engage and support public media through its most significant transition in decades.

In this session, we’ll hear directly from station leaders from different communities across the country about what they’re experiencing on the ground, what they need to move forward, and how funders can most effectively engage.

Tim Isgitt—CEO of Public Media Company and MIF board member—will also share an update on the Public Media Bridge Fund.

The discussion will explore how stations are balancing stabilization and transformation, and building new models through collaboration, community partnerships and diversified revenue.

Following the conversation, attendees will break into smaller breakout rooms in Zoom to explore specific strategies.

Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of the evolving public media landscape, practical entry points for funders of all sizes, and a shared path toward sustaining this essential public good.
