Patricia Flores , Civic Science Fellow

Patricia Flores is a Civic Science Fellow at Media Impact Funders, where she manages the Science and Health Media Funders Network. Patricia spent nearly seven years at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, where she built a $1.5 million science journalism grantmaking portfolio supporting hyperlocal nonprofit newsrooms. She also managed communications strategy across CZI’s multi-billion-dollar science portfolio. Patricia began her career working in corporate communications in tech. Patricia serves as a Board Member and Fundraising Chair for Acción Latina, publisher of El Tecolote, California’s oldest bilingual newspaper. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Stanford University and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
