Sexual assault and harassment: Two topics that have gained significant attention since the #MeToo movement. For this webinar, we spoke with Daffodil Altan, producer of the Frontline/Univision documentary Rape on the Night ShiftElisa Lees Muñoz, executive director of the International Women’s Media Foundation, and our very own Nina Sachdev, MIF’s communications director.

Rape on the Night Shift is a film, radio and print collaboration between Reveal, at the Center for Investigative Reporting, KQED, and IRP. Daffodil talked about about Reveal’s long-range reporting on sexual harassment in the workplace and how it has evolved.

Elisa gave us an overview of the IWMF’s support for providing hostile environment training for female journalists over the last 30 years, and Nina provided her perspective, experience and lessons learned in co-editing and fact-checking The Survivors Project, a compilation of first-person essays from more than 50 men and women across the country who share their stories of healing from the effects of sexual abuse.
