Recommended Safety Organizations & Resources

MIF staff has created this tool for funders looking for opportunities to add to their journalism safety or freedom of the press strategy or grantee resources. The database is a list of organizations, resources, tools and emergency funding opportunities sourced from MIF members, colleagues and leading safety and security practitioners—but it is not an exhaustive list. Existing MIF member support or involvement is noted where applicable. If you would like to update an existing item, or add a new one, please email shannon@mediafunders.org with the resource title and link. We will be continually updating this resource.

Use this Guide to:

1. Easily search through a database of vetted safety and security providers and resources related to media and journalism.
2. Learn about how other MIF members are supporting this work.
3. Add your own resources, projects and grantees so that they can easily be found by other funders.
