Threats to press freedom, issues of safety and security, and issues of malicious and rampant disinformation are of serious and urgent concern to funders of international journalism and media—and attention to these issues among funders has been building over time. In response, Media Impact Funders has dedicated more research and field-building activities to grow knowledge and catalyze deeper conversations among funders.
Through a series of curated and peer-to-peer networking programs planned and facilitated by MIF, members of this network will explore issues and opportunities in the international journalism funding field. Our intention is to create space for funders to engage with each other, learn from one another, and find common points of entry into their work.
