We’re using our February Journalism Funders webinar as an opportunity to offer a preview of Knight Foundation’s 2020 Knight Media Forum, an annual gathering designed for foundation presidents, their board members and executive staff, and senior level community and media leaders.

This year’s Knight Media Forum will feature conversations on the most effective ways funders can invest in local investigative reporting, the growing challenge of hateful content online, emerging technology trends and more. The Forum is oriented toward action: Attendees leave with the knowledge to address pressing issues and major trends in local news, information and technology, and they come away with practical tools, replicable ideas, and new partners and relationships to execute projects.

This webinar provides a chance for those attending (or for those who can’t make it but still want to learn more) to hear from Karen Rundlet, Director of Journalism at Knight, who will offer highlights of KMF and Knight’s latest investment. We’ll also hear from Sharon Chan of the New York Times who will offer reflections on how foundations can work with for-profit journalism enterprises in the public interest.
