Created by Americans for the Arts with support from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the Arts + Social Impact Explorer is an interactive online tool that helps make the case for arts in impact work. The tool brings together top-line research, example projects, core research papers, and service/partner organizations across 29 sectors, allowing users to tailor their messaging to specific stakeholders.

The research segments are supported by a database of local projects, a library of arts publications and step-by-step guides for building customized fact sheets.

Use This Guide To:

  1. Craft tailored messages for policy makers and community leaders to support the arts
  2. Review extensive data sets and the role of arts and media in civic engagement
  3. Access a library of case studies to build your advocacy strategy
